چکیده

Background: Currently, the CAP protocol mandates evaluation of ≥12 Lymph nodes as a quality indicator for adequacy pathologic examination colorectal cancer resection specimens. Aim: To identify factors that may influence lymph node yield in specimens and to compare with relevant publications.
Methods: The retrospective study seventy patients loco-regional adenocarcinomas treated by standard surgical from April 2015- 2017 was included. All cases inadequate had been re-grossed another pathologist. Variables like age, gender, primary site, type surgery, specimen length, tumour size, grade stage, neoadjuvant therapy site perforation were evaluated their impact on average total number examined.
Results: Out seventy, eleven [15.71%] mean nodal [MNY]. Of these patients, MNY greater males [6.6] than females [6.4]. lesser age >50years [5.71] ≤ 50 years [8]. increased exponentially increasing stage size. Yield higher tumours perforation. Specimens longer 20cm [7.29] shorter [5.25]. when is located more distally [APR:4.5 AR &sigmoid colectomy:7.7]. Seven taken [63.6%] whom, six moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma & one no tumour.
Conclusion: Factors therapy, gender patient, length specimen, grade, perforation, affect cancers.
